Bolt Action ballpoint bullet pen, .30 caliber in brass wire braid with an antique brass hardware finish, my Item 102330 shops

This handmade pen is a "Bolt Action Rifle" style ballpoint with a unique opening/closing mechanism which resembles the bolt on a typical hunting rifle. To open the pen you slide the bolt down and move it slightly toward the clip (which resembles a scoped hunting rifle!) to lock it in place for writing. The cap looks like the bottom of a shell casing and the nib like the top of the shell casing with a .30 caliber, copper-jacketed bullet. These pens are really cool. To close the pen just give the "bolt" a flick and it'll snap back up into place. It uses standard Parker (or equivalent) shops ballpoint pen refills (ships with black ink) which are readily available at any office supplies store or online (I recommend getting them at www.woodcraft.com where a pack of 5 in either blue or black is ~$5.99). The body of this pen, my item # 102330, is made of clear acrylic resin encapsulating brass braided wire like that used to reinforce high pressure hoses and to electrically shield coaxial cable. It's very cool looking and goes beautifully with the antique brass finish of the pen's hardware. This pen will delight any hunter or second amendment and/or gun enthusiast. The faces of those who pick up one of these and work it light up with a huge smile. They're very unusual and, if desired, can start many a conversation.
