Wide handmade textile belt for viking, celtic, medieval, historical, folk and larp costumes. This trim is made by using the traditional tablet weaving technique. The weave could be used as a belt, headband, decorative ribbon, instrument strap or pet leash.

Tablet weaving is known for its authentic patterns and various ways where it could be used. It is one of the oldest handwoven textile techniques, which had been widely used in the viking age, medieval times and varied folk or ethnic costumes around the world. Usually it is made from wool, linen or silk. Tablet or card woven trims are strong and decorative at the same time.
This ancient craft used to be in women‘s daily magical routine. People believed that colourful woven belts can protect from bad luck or negative energy. Tablet woven sash had important symbolic meaning in pagan wedding ritual.
