Black on Black Shou shops Sugi Ban Wall Art, Unique 3-D Wall Art, Black Yellow and Green Wall Art

While stumbling around on internet, I came across some photos of wood burned using the Japanese technique known as Shou Sagi Ban. The wood is burned with a blow torch until it ripples and cracks in the most interesting ways. I used this technique on a couple of pieces of pine to see the results. I liked the effect and decided to include those two pieces in a wall sculpture composed of other pieces of wood all painted black to provide the proper contrast to the shou sagi ban. After shops doing that, I decided it needed a dash of color for contrast and that's the reason for the yellow and green accents in-between several boards. I attached four picture hangers to the back of this piece so you can hang it in four different ways. I think this would provide an interesting piece for any entry way, bedroom or even bathroom. It's unique and subtle, and would be a great addition to any home.
