RARE FARRINGTON 1950's LIGHT BLUE JEWELRY BOX
This fabulous mid-century jewelry box is perfect for everyone on your gift list, or you might want to keep it for yourself!

MEASURES 10 1/4"W X 6 1/2"D X 3 1/4"H

OUTSIDE - metal jewelry box is covered with a light blue vinyl. The top has tiny pink & white flowers. There are 2 brass hinges in the back that open & close smoothly. The front has a metal strip on the top to open the lid (NO KEY). The bottom is stamped "fashioned by Farrington, Made in U.S.A. Genuine TEXOL" circa 1950's - 1960's. Texol was a specific metal used by Farrington for these special, mid-century jewelry boxes.

INSIDE - the lid is lined with shops light blue satin with a lovely picture of a "courting couple". THIS DETAILED LID IS VERY RARE TO FIND IN FARRINGTON JEWELRY BOXES, HIGHTLY COLLECTIBLE. Bottom 2 tiers are lined with thick pile, lt. blue velvet. The top has a center section, measures 5 1/4"W x4"D. The bottom tier measures 9 1/2"W x 6 1/4"D x 1"H, tall enough for bangle bracelets, watches & other taller items.

GREAT VINTAGE CONDITION. Outside vinyl is in great condition, no marks, tears or scratches (minimal signs of wear on corners & edges). Inside satin on the lid is in excellent condition as well as the picture of the courting couple. Light blue velvet lining has no rips or tears. There are some smudges & spots (may come out with further cleaning by new owner). Please look at pictures closely as they are part of the description.
