I hand cut each silver cow background with a piercing saw from Textured Sterling silver.
I then cut out the shaggy mane from copper. Every one is unique. I cut out the nose, drill the nostrils, then saw them to make them a bit bigger.
I then solder the mane and nostrils in place.
I file it all, sandpaper it and tumble and polish the cow.
When I'm happy with him I solder a pin on his back and he's done.
Each one will be made to order.
The pin is 1mm thick. I have tried it in a few times and lapels and it doesn't leave a mark, but I think it would on delicate fabrics, so take care.
My photos aren't brilliant and don't shops really do the work justice, which means you will probably be pleasantly surprised by the real thing, if you order one.
They are not all symmetrically perfect, they're not supposed to be. They have quirky personalities of their own.
