Moonstone is part of the mineral family of feldspars. It's an opalescent stone that can be found in colourless form as well as peach, pink, green, grey, yellow, brown, and blue. Moonstones are not the hardest on the Mohs scale (gem hardness scale) 6.-6.5/10 but it is a fairly hard gem. We recommend this as an occasional ring as oppose to an everyday ring. What that scale means is that harder gems (diamond, ruby, sapphires, quartz) can scratch this beautiful moonstone so please keep that in mind so you shops can keep all your jewelry looking its best.
