I picked this small leaf from the Japanese Maple growing in the front yard where I used to live. The first tender spring growth is what I used. It was so thin and delicate that I had to enhance it with wax to be cast. I designed the back of the leaf to be as interesting as the front, so it is reversable.

DESCRIPTION: This small Japanese Maple leaf is cast in beautiful, tarnish-resistant, ARGENTIUM sterling silver. I wire-wrapped a 4mm Garnet bead to the top of the leaf, which is suspended on an 18" long, figure 8, shops ARGENTIUM chain. It is fastened with an ARGENTIUM lobster-claw clasp. This necklace can be worn with the natural leaf texture facing forward, or with the smoother side facing forward, each creating a different look. It's really 2 necklaces in one!
